You are bidding on a VINTAGE 1912 "MEMORIAL EDITON" copy of the SINKING OF THE TITANIC / THRILLING STORIES TOLD BY SURVIVORS book as shown in the photos. The book is in overall fair to poor condition, as there are numerous areas of the book that are ripped, torn, scuffed, etc. The book's binding is loose and nearly completely detatched from the spine itself. Also the inside pages show yellowing, rips, foxing, etc. There is a signature on the inside front cover page that reads " R.P. Byrd March 23, 1912" which was only 28 days AFTER the Titanic sank on April 14, 1912 on her maiden voyage. It is unknown what Mr. Byrd's connection with the Titanic was, if anything at all. I have flipped through the book and there are MANY INTERESTING STORIES about the Diaster as told by the survivors themselves. This would make a VERY GOOD READ for anyone interested in the demise of this GREAT SHIP!!
